This site counts page views on its own servers and uses no third-party analytics tag. It sets an analytics cookie only if you accept it.

We measure how our site is read with Matomo, which 360REV runs for us on servers in the United States. If you accept our analytics cookie, a random number in that cookie lets us count you once over up to 13 months and see whether you come back. If you decline, we set no cookie and count your visit only by a code that changes every day and cannot identify you. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we set no cookie and do not count your visit at all. Matomo keeps your address with its last parts removed, for country statistics, and deletes visit records after 25 months. You can change your choice at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Our legal basis is consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for the cookie, and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for counting without it. Your rights: access, erasure, objection, and a complaint to your data-protection authority; write to us through our contact form.

Those counts are sent from this server, never from your browser, to two places: a path and a count to 360REV, the platform that runs this site, and each view to a self-hosted Matomo with the address truncated before it leaves the server. Unless you have accepted the analytics cookie, Matomo groups one day of page views into visits and counts how many different readers came that day with a code that changes every day, and cannot identify you or recognise you on another day. A request carrying a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal reaches neither.

A page is counted only after your browser has shown it for two seconds: a small script from this site tells this site's own server, and nothing is sent anywhere else. With JavaScript switched off, a tiny image from this site does the same. No cookie is set unless you accept our analytics cookie.

If you ask for this browser not to be counted — add ?rev360=ignore to any address on this site — it sets one cookie, rev360_ignore, and that cookie does nothing except keep your visits out of the count. ?rev360=count switches it back and your visits are counted again.

Price quotes and charts are drawn by TradingView widgets, which your browser loads from tradingview.com. TradingView sees that request the way any embedded page does, under its own privacy policy, and this site sends it nothing about you. With JavaScript off no request to TradingView is made and the figures this server holds are shown instead.

Apart from that shortened address, the code that changes every day and, only if you accepted it, the random number in the analytics cookie, no IP address and no visitor identifier is stored, with one exception for sponsored tiles: to keep a sponsor from being charged twice for the same person's clicks, the platform that runs this site keeps a code made from your address and browser for two days. The code changes every day, is used only to count a click once a day, and is deleted after two days. Counters on this server are incremented and the request is forgotten.

A request carrying a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal is discarded before anything is written. It is not anonymised or sampled — it is discarded.

If you subscribe to a newsletter we store the address you gave us and the topics you chose, so we can send what you asked for. Your address is confirmed before anything is sent, and one click in any edition ends it.

If you write to us through the contact form, what you typed goes to our publishing platform, where it becomes a message in the workspace the desk reads. We keep it to answer you. Writing to us does not subscribe you to anything, and an address given there is never added to a mailing list.

If you list an event, we keep what you submitted, the email address you confirmed, and our editors' decisions about it; the listing shows the organizer name you gave. Reader accounts and event listings are run for us by 360REV, which keeps your details as a contact in our customer records. If you are not signed in, we email you a 6-digit code to confirm your address; once you enter it, a sign-in token is kept in your browser's storage (not a cookie) for up to 30 days, and signing out removes it. Signing in to your reader account sets one cookie, cin_reader, which keeps you signed in for 30 days. To show events near you first, our events page works out your approximate location (city, county or state) from your IP address on 360REV's server; it is used only for that page, is not stored, and no outside service is contacted. You can delete your organizer account from My events at any time.

If your event is of a kind with its own rules (for example an investing class, alcohol or a charity fundraiser), we also keep the details you give about it, such as the legal name of whoever pays for a promotion, a licence or registration number and the statements you confirm, and we show readers the notices those rules require once our editors have seen them. These details are kept with your listing and erased when you delete your organizer account.

If you promote an event, you pay on a payment page run by Stripe for this site: your card details go to Stripe, never to us, and Stripe sends you the receipt in our name. We keep the order, the tile you wrote and how many times it was seen and clicked. Sponsored tiles on our pages are served from this site; your browser contacts no one else to show them. To count a tile as seen, this page tells our own server when half of it has been on your screen for a second; to count a click once a day, the platform that runs this site keeps a code made from your address and browser, used only for that, and deleted after two days. Neither happens if you asked not to be counted (?rev360=ignore).
